New Zealand Jab Injury – Kylee, From New Zealand

I was scared but I got advice and checks from both my doctor and cardiologist. They both said my health/heart was all good and gave thrall clear and strongly advised I get the vaccine.

On November 25th, 2021, I got my first dose.

That night, I felt nothing. The next day, I felt clammy, a bit sick, and achey but that went away by day three post-vaccine.

It was all good until six days post-vaccine. I started to have fluttery heart, chest pain, dizziness, and slight breathing issues. By day nine post-vaccine, I was bad. All of the above symptoms but heart racing, tremors, and almost blacking out. I went straight to the emergency department where I spent five hours. They did an ECG — I was having sinus tachycardia episodes as well as atrial morphology and high blood pressure. They then did a scan of my heart and foundry left ventricle was enlarged and my right ventricle had fluid. They then did blood for myocarditis/pericarditis. That came back clear but the doctor said what I have is “myocardio-excitability.” It’s a term they are giving to people with reactions to the vaccine (doctor’s words). I was sent home with a month’s course of beta blockers and a follow-up with the doctor the following week. They said rest assured I will get better. I’m not so sure. It’s been five days since being discharged and I still feel like shit! Vertigo, chest pain, tightness, pins and needles, fatigue, and aches. When does it end? The scary thing is the doctor and cardiologist are telling me to still have the second dose as I’m more likely to have a bad effect from COVID-19 due to my reaction to the vaccine? One doctor said to have it in a couple of weeks. The other doctor said to leave it until I feel better — maybe a couple of months. I’m too scared to have it again. So much mixed advice! I’m in limbo.
