The WHO is Seeking to Dictate Australia’s Future Response to Public Health ‘Emergencies’ Via Legally Binding Regulations?

Have you signed ‘The People’s Letter’ being sent to the World Health Organisation in Geneva yet?

In support of our joint W.H.O. campaign, we have arranged for the Australian version of The People’s Letter to be sent to the WHO in Geneva before the 1 December deadline. We are following New Zealand’s Voices for Freedom great example, who had a huge success as their newly elected government has said NO to the WHO amendments before 1 December 2023.

Unfortunately, we are not expecting the Australian Government do the same…YET…So that’s why, with your support, we are sending the letter on behalf of the Australian people as silence is acceptance of the amendments. The Labor government has advised that the time changes are minor, no action should be taken, and the time reductions should apply. This is not acceptable to us.

We’ve also put together some helpful information to bring you up to speed with the issue.

1. Read a brief summary of the WHO’s International Health Regulations.

2. What is The People’s Letter about, and why do so many people feel compelled to sign it?

3. Why can’t we just reject all the amendments and the new treaty now?

4. Three ways you can help!

What Does That Mean?
It means the WHO will have the authority to force a prescribed public health response on its member countries including Australia!!!

Under the current draft versions of the International Health Regulations (IHR) amendments and treaties, the WHO will have authority to:

  • Order individual countries to lockdown,
  • Require travel passes,
  • Restrict travel,
  • Require mandatory vaccination or use of pandemic-related products,
  • Force medical examinations,
  • Force member countries to share pathogens and genetic information,
  • Censor scientific debate,
  • Force member countries to support developing countries,
  • Dictate the distribution of pandemic related products.

The Committee was first established in 1996. It’s made up of 16 members of Parliament, and they are the people who make recommendations regarding the W.H.O and International Health Regulations (IHR) amendments to the Government. IHR amendments do not pass through parliament, they are decided on by JSCOT!

Other Concerning Facts

The cost of any response measures will be borne by taxpayers, adding to the crippling debt we already face from the Australian Government’s Covid-19 response.

Public Health Emergencies of International Concern (PHEIC) needn’t be real or established; the WHO need only decide there could be a possible risk to public health to trigger response measures.

By doing nothing by the due date, the amendments to the WHO’s International Health Regulations will be binding on Australia. If this happens, Australia will relinquish it’s autonomy to make its own public health decisions in the interest of Australian citizens.

The WHO is not a political party; it is an unelected global organisation. If we are unhappy with its actions, we cannot simply vote it out at the next election, like we can with Labour, Liberal, National, or any of Australia’s other political parties. Proposed measures to grant unprecedented power to such an organisation should be rejected outright.

What is The People’s Letter About?

Australia must make take important action before 1 December 2023 regarding the timeframes in which the amendments to the IHRs and other related pandemic ‘treaties’ must be considered and or implemented.

The WHO’s proposed changes seek to shorten the timeframes by around a half. The WHO will reduce the period for member states to consider its 300+ IHR amendments from 18 to 10 months and the implementation of amendments from 24 to 12 months.

The People’s Letter is a direct communication to the WHO. It alerts the WHO that the people of Australia reject the shortening of the timeframes to consider future amendments to the IHRs for the following reasons:

  • The timeframes are insufficient for assessing impact to domestic law, and consultation processes.

Why Can’t We Just Reject ALL the Amendments & the New Treaty Now?

Australia cannot reject the future amendments yet because their final version will not be available until the middle of January 2024.

Our opportunity to consider the amendments will come after their adoption in May 2024 at the 77th World Health Assembly. Once adopted, the clock will start for member states to consider, reject, or implement the adopted amendments.

Our efforts to bring public awareness of the International Health Regulations and their negative implications on Australia’s society will increase in the new year, so watch this space!
